Quadral challenges players to find a single word that simultaneously satisfies four constraints:
The task is simple to state and difficult to achieve:
Submit the perfect word.
No definitions. No explanations. The word must stand on its own. Words in the prompt itself are off-limits.
Words are judged anonymously by AI (GPT-4.1). Scores for a word are locked after the first time a player submits it. Players receive their score, a brief written evaluation, and a curved grade. (Note: scoring may take longer the first time a new word is submitted.)
Each word is scored out of 65 points:
A word that scores at least 10 points in each category and on the twist, and at least 52 points total, is considered a valid solution.
The AI also generates a benchmark word called Par—its best attempt at a perfect solution. Human players aim to beat it.
Par is always curved to an A on the leaderboard; your grade is curved proportionately. Once you've solved the puzzle, aim for an A++ solution!
One recent puzzle asked for a word that:
Par: "Mist"
