How to Play

Quadral challenges players to find a single word that simultaneously satisfies four constraints:

• Three category constraints (e.g., law, sports, psychology, pop culture, history, art)
• A twist: a connotation or hidden meaning (e.g., negative; circular)

Words in the prompt itself are off-limits.

Words are judged anonymously by AI. Scores for a word are locked after the first time a player submits it.

• Note: scoring may take longer the first time a new word is submitted.

Each word is scored out of 60 points:

• 15 points per category (45 total); scores rise quickly at first but become harder to earn at the top
• 15 points for satisfying the twist

To solve, score:

• At least 10 points in each category and on the twist
• At least 50 points total

The AI will rank you based on how your answer stacks up to others—including its own. Aim for the most elegant solution.

Your highest score on every puzzle you solve gets added to your overall score on the Global Leaderboard.
